“When you are upset you are likely to sacrifice the wellbeing of tomorrow to appease the hurt feelings of today. Not a good trade. Subject your emotions to a cooling-off period before you allow them to guide major decisions. ”
@TheStoicEmperor

When facing a challenging situation at work, it's easy to impulsively respond in anger and jeopardize future opportunities just to feel better in the moment. Instead, take a step back, breathe, and give yourself time to cool off before making any decisions. For example, if a colleague criticizes your work, rather than immediately reacting defensively, take a moment to process your emotions before responding thoughtfully and constructively.
