“Be present above all else.”
In modern life, being present can help us truly appreciate the moments we are in, whether it's having a meal with loved ones without distractions or fully engaging in a work meeting. For example, when spending time with friends, instead of checking your phone constantly, focus on being mentally present and actively listening to them without any distractions.
This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24 encourages us to be mindful and present in each day given to us by the Lord. This aligns with the Stoic pillar of Wisdom, as being present allows us to make the most of the current moment and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our surroundings.
